Colin Farrell will be the first honoree of 2022 to go to the desert.
The Palm Springs International Film Festival announced that Farrell will receive the Desert Palm Achievement Award for Actor for his performance in The Banshees by Inisherin.
The Film Awards will be held in person at the Palm Springs Convention Center (after a several-year absence due to the pandemic) on January 5, 2023, with the festival, which specializes in screening a large number of films, competing for the International Film Awards.
