MasterChef viewers slam the show for ‘editing ex-judges’ of hit series

Viewers of MasterChef Australia: Foodies Vs Favorites, 11th from Season 1 of the series.

After Matt Preston, George Calombaris, and Gary Mehigan were not shown, Twitter exploded and audiences turned to the show.

There were flashbacks from former contestants during the episode, but the former judges were nowhere to be seen.

The trio were replaced by current judges Jock Zonfrillo, Andy Allen and Melissa Leong in a controversial move in 2019.

One fan wrote “Dear” 15 times on Twitter: “Changes will not be shown to former judges”.

Another fan reacted enthusiastically during editing, claiming that the current judges were the show’s “original” judges.

“These whipping judges are acting like they’re the real judges on these people’s journeys! No it wasn’t Summer!!!’ the audience was disgusted.

‘Role play! Look who won Andy “judge”. Whoever is in front of him is like a slap in the face,” they added.

Another wrote: “Yes, I quit when three of them came off”.

Others question the lack of “diversity” in judges in recent years.

Original judges Matt, Gary and George withdrew from the reality cooking series in 2019 after a reported salary dispute with Channel 10.

Avoiding George’s salary scandal, 10 CEO Paul Anderson said the decision came after months of unsuccessful talks with chiefs.

According to reports, the trio chose to leave the program after 10 refused to give them a substantial pay raise.
