Osher Gunsberg trashes Aussie politics in weird tub video

Osher Gusberg took an awkward step in politics by appearing in a video of him sitting half-naked in the tub before the election.

The “Change Policy” announcement features handsome 47-year-old presenter Bachelor, who claims the political system is unreliable.

He argues that government should use citizens’ assemblies, which are decision-making groups made up of ordinary people who decide a political issue.

It is an unknown idea in Australia, but is used in the traditional political process in France and Ireland.

Shot in what appears to be a luxury hotel overlooking Sydney Harbour, the video opens with a narrator explaining how politics “could be” more than economic spectacle and how Osher Gusberg was here in the tub. To sit”.

As the beautiful celebrity sits in the tub surrounded by soapy water, Osher is served by an elderly “servant” in a bow tie and offers him a gulet of ale from a silver platter.

Refuse the drink – Osher stopped drinking alcohol in 2018 – and the “butler” takes a drink.

Osher then explains why “as politics can leave a bad taste in the mouth … the need to win elections drives politicians to act like politicians”.

He then describes the current political system as one that “creates suspicion, division and fear rather than uniting us”.

Osher explains that popular assemblies are a way for ordinary people to believe in the political process because they “transfer some of the power to the people.”

Citizens’ assemblies work by electing members of the group participating in a lottery.

The group, which is made up of people from different walks of life, then comes together to decide on a specific issue presented to them by the government.

In France and Ireland, citizens’ assemblies have influenced abortion, climate change and marriage equality laws.
