Important mission: Star Trek actors go into space

The crew will not need many “light years” to complete the mission.

The Star Trek cast and crew, who are no longer with us, have met an unexpected fate. The cast members of the legendary show will finally be truly reunited with the universe.

According to Universe Today, the space and astronomy news site, the ashes of Star Trek artists will be launched into space. This mission is called “Enterprise” and will be the “secondary payload” on this flight. “Primary” is the delivery of a robotic lunar vehicle on the Artemis spacecraft (“Artemis”).

For example, the remains and DNA of actors Nichelle Nichols, who played Lieutenant Uhura, James Doohan (Scotty), Majel Barrett (Nurse Chapel), as well as series creator Gene Roddenberry and visual effects master Douglas Trumbull, will be placed on the plane.

The flight is scheduled for today, August 29, and should end with a landing on the moon.
