Spandau Ballet singer Martin Kemp took the stage on Friday after former bandmate Ross William Wild went to court on a series of sexual assault charges.
The 60-year-old actor and singer took the stage at the Chester 7s sports and music festival held at the Winnington Park Rugby Club just hours after Wild appeared on trial.
The appearance comes when Ross, 34, allegedly committed 17 crimes between 2013 and 2018, including rape and assault at his north London home, a hotel in Shrewsbury and Cannes, France.

The Scottish musician is accused of raping a woman, blackmailing her and sharing her private sexual photo.
He is also accused of getting away with attacking six other women while they sleep.
Wild, who replaced Tony Hadley as lead singer of the ’80s band in 2018, was arrested on Thursday at his family’s home in Aberdeen after prosecutors gave police the green light to charge him earlier this week.

The singer wore a plain black T-shirt with her black hair swept back as she appeared before the Carlisle Magistrates’ Court.
She cried when her lawyer, Chris Toms, told the court: “He’s a professional music artist.”
Regarding the rape charge, Mr. Toms did not make any formal requests on behalf of Wild, but said: “This has been vehemently denied. He wants his day in court”.
