Successful film actress Susan Backlinie was spotted in Ventura, California ahead of the 47th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s iconic Jaws.
It’s an opening scene that no one will ever forget.
Actress Susan Backlinie left the audience completely terrified when she was eaten alive by a great white shark in the first installment of Steven Spielberg’s horror masterpiece The Jaws, when she was only 28 years old.
The 75-year-old was recently spotted running errands in Ventura, California ahead of the 47th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s classic film.

The footage showed her holding a shopping bag and a bottle of water while wearing shorts, a hoodie and walking down the street with a cane.

Backlinie is expected to appear in court in November after being arrested and charged with assault, the Daily Mail reported.
According to public records, the former actress, referred to by her real name as Susan Swindall, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The shark actress now spends her days on a houseboat.
It bears a strange resemblance to the boat used to hunt the great white shark off Amity Island, a fictional seaside town in New York City, the Daily Mail reported.

In the famous attack simulation scene, director Spielberg allegedly attached a rope harness with 300-pound weights to the body of Backlinie, then 28, and asked the crew to pull him while he was in the bathroom.
Her surprised reaction was genuine because she didn’t know when the tremor would come. Online radar reported.

Prior to her appearance in Jaws, Backlinie worked as a stuntman and animal trainer.
In another claim to fame, he also owned the same bear whose growls were used as Chewbacca’s voice in Star Wars.
