The “SuperNatural” is full of excellent series, but it has been apart for a long time.
Fifteen seasons are not the amount that someone has planned for the “supernatural”. When the show started in 2005, the maker Eric Kripka considered him a five -year story, where everything would end with an apocalypse, confrontations between hell, paradise and two brothers in the middle. As a result, the show continued – and thanks to this he had the strange and beloved fans of the episode, who would otherwise never see the light.
Initially he planned the end of Kripka in the fifth season, in the Swan Song series. If this were the case, the audience would not have been hunting for ten years on samples, meta-humor and plotmadness, who finally freed the heroes. In particular, we would never see ‘the French error’ – a series that many still call the best in the entire history of ‘supernatural’.
What is “the French Wrong“And why this series could not be born
The episode was released in the sixth season, at number 15 – that is, exactly 15 episodes later than the point where the show would originally end. It contains Sam and Dean in an alternative reality, where they are not hunters for monsters, but … actors Jared Padaleki and Jensen Ackles, who shoot a series called “SuperNATURAL”.

The entire setup is built on the fact that the heroes are confronted with the grotesque version of the real world.
From Misha Collins, who is painfully playing a diligent version of himself, to jokes about CW and show grant Robert Singher – ‘The French Mistal’ is filled with the very crazy impudence, for which the “SuperNatural” later fell in love.
At the same time, the series became a turning point for the entire structure of the series. She proved that the ‘supernatural’ can not only take the time after the fifth season, but to completely change the rules of the game. Within the framework of the gloomy and Biblical end of Kripka, such an episode would never fit – it is too frivolous. But it was thanks to the success of the French error that the show showed: it is capable of something much more than a banal hunt for monsters.
