The final of the mini series “Dexter: New Blood” seems to have set a point, but as usual, not for everyone. Fiction? Not at all – according to experts.

“More than half of the patients with a shot wound in the heart, when they deliver them quickly to the hospital, really survive,” explains the forensic expert Michael Baden in the US commentary. Today.

Admittedly, there is a nuance. The pathologist and ballistic specialist Judy Melinek clarified: it all depends on exactly where the bullet struck. If she only damaged the left lung, without touching her heart and large barrels, there are opportunities to survive. Especially if you take the conditions into account.

“Dexter fell into the snow, in the cold, and this slows down the bloodstream and reduces the risk of brain damage due to a lack of oxygen. If it had been shot in hot Miami, it would hardly have survived,” Melinek added.

In “Resurrection” they explain in this way: low temperatures save life and coma gave the body time to recover.

Besides, taking into account how often Dexter in history turned out to be about exposure or death – his resurrection does not even seem such a piece:

• In season 2, Sergeant James almost exposes the Dester, but dies because of the intervention of Laila.
• In 3 and 4 seasons, friendship with Miguel Prado and Arthur Mitchell almost leads to collapse, but both are ultimately on the table of the protagonist.

So according to the laws of this series it is really tenacious. So, another chance to cut bad people into Dexter pieces, it seems to be honest.
