The official premiere will remain a few days, but the first assessments of the “Jurassic World: Revival” have already appeared – and they sound with reluctance, if not disappointed.
The tape received 4 out of 10 in one of the first published assessments, where it is called “disappointment, which brewed 65 million years”.
Critics admit that the film finally had a working tie – something that previous sequel could not deal with. This time the heroes really have why they have to climb into the mouth of dinosaurs: genetic studies show that DNA of old species can help with the treatment of cardiovascular disease.
The script was written by David Kepp – the author of the original “Jurassic Park”, who returned to the franchise after almost 30 years. In theory, the film should be a “return to the origin” – a limited scale, concentrated on one mission and built on a classic formula: a group of specialists landed on a closed island full of predators.
But, as the reviewers notice, a good idea quickly drowns in a chaotic scenario. There are too many characters in the film, and the pace constantly comes down. The main characters – the scientist, the operation and the representative of the pharmaceutical company – suddenly push the Delgado family and appear in the plot without a clear goal.
According to the critic: “Their storyline looks like studio processing – adolescents added to cover a family audience.”
Moreover, the tape is once again suffering from the same problem as all earlier continues: in spirit and form this is another attempt to copy the original “park”, but without the lightness with which Spielberg worked.
“This film made me dream of a franchise to rest,” writes the author of the review.
However, the cast is praised. Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey go exclusively with faded roles because of personal charisma.
The last judgment: “Renaissance” is not a failure, but also not a breakthrough. This is a film that will probably collect the cashier, but will soon disappear from memory.
“Yes, he will earn another billion, but by the end of the month it is unlikely that you remember what exactly happened in it,” the criticism was summarized.
The premiere of the film in cinemas will be held on July 2.
