There are no official conditions yet. It is only known that the return will be – the only question is what it will result in.
The failure of the “Transformers: The Last Knight” in 2017 was not only painful, the franchise had been buried for several years. With a budget of more than $ 200 million, the fifth film on the world “only” brought $ 605 million – despite the fact that the previous units each brought the studio more than a billion. For Paramount it was a signal: the viewer was tired. Michael Bay stated at that time that “everything, enough” – and left.
But after eight years he returns. According to Puck, Bay is again negotiating with the studio – and not just as a producer, but as a potential director of the new film. The script is already being written, Jordan Vandin is working on it, which is known to work only on the animation series “Nazi animals” – a dubious choice.

Interestingly, the Bay Cambet is not the only project about transformers in development. Paramount now has five different projects in the active phase at the same time, but it was the Bay film, based on leaks, which is considered a priority. Apparently the studio is sure that only he can return the interest of the audience in the franchise. Although the director himself did the opposite not so long ago. In an interview with 2022 he remembered:
“I left too much of them. Stephen Spielberg told me:“ Stop the third. “I agreed, but the studio begged me to remove the fourth. He collected a billion. I said again – that is enough. She convinced again. I had to leave on time.”
