“Lolita? No, what!” – Sabrina Carpenter is justified for the photo shoot

We are talking about photographing for W Magazine Magazine, where the 26-year-old carpenter lies on the grass under the streams of Water-De Photo suspected comparable to a frame from the 1997 Lolita film, in which the young heroine is also wet on the lawn. The film itself is based on the novel of Vladimir Nabokov of the same name, who tells the story of an adult man who falls in love with a teenage girl.

The scandal started in Tiktok, where a user placed a collage of two photos – Sabrina and the heroine of Lolita – and added a negative reaction. The post has become viral. Sabrina left her comment under the post, in which she rejected any parallels.

“I’ve never seen this movie. It wasn’t and won’t be in my mud board.”

The skeptics, however, continued to blame her and reminded her of another ambiguous situation. One of the commentators quoted the performance of the singer in Mexico City at the warm -up of Taylor Swift, where she, ending with the nonsense song, said in a joke:

“I am full of adults, but I look like a Niña / come to place something big in my Casita.”

It translates something like this:

“I am an adult, but I look like a girl / let’s put something big in my house.”

Some took this line as a touch of sexualization of a pseudo-child image.

This is not the first criticism of Sabrina for the use of sexual topics in the image and the songs. She emphasized more than once that her work is a form of self -expression and she regards all the accusations that are far -fetched.
