George Ezra’s new album, Gold Rush Kid, is out today (June 10) and has finally talked about his bewildering performance at Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Saturday, June 4th.

The 29-year-old performed his hit single Green Green Grass in front of a crowd of 22,000 gathered outside Buckingham Palace and the 13 million who watched at home as the Queen celebrated 70 years on the throne.

But fans were baffled after George changed the lyrics.

The songwriter has left traces that referred to “dying”.

George told The Sun: “My instincts tell me there is no need to change it.
