Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis was spotted with his fellow stars while filming the final scenes of season three in Richmond on Thursday.
While fans are eagerly awaiting the third season of Apple TV Plus’ acclaimed Ted Lasso series, star/screenwriter Brett Goldstein has confirmed that it will be the series’ second.
The 46-year-old looked cheerful as he walked around the set wearing a black hoodie with “Run The Jewels” written on it.

Jason has said multiple times that he and co-creators Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt and Joe Kelly only have three seasons planned for the series.
Goldstein, 41, who won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his portrayal of the hit Roy Kent, confirmed in an interview with the Sunday Times that Ted Lasso is wrapping up after the highly anticipated Season 3.

The show has one of its most unorthodox origin stories, with star Sudeikis playing the Lasso in a series of commercials for NBC Sports, which first introduced Premier League coverage in 2013.
Creator of hit shows like Scrubs and Cougar Town, Lawrence was involved in the development of the show in 2017, and the show was picked up by Apple TV Plus in 2019.

“I can’t speak for the fans. But I can talk about how he shaped us. Ted tries to bring out the best in us, the best in us,” said Goldstein.
The show received critical acclaim in its summer 2020 debut, following in the footsteps of title character Sudeikis when he was transferred to coach the AFC Richmond Premiere League team as an American College Football manager, despite having no experience with the football coach.
Despite her lack of experience (and success), her positive mindset is ultimately winning the hearts of fans, her players, and owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham).
“The funny thing about the show is that people try to improve. And that’s unusual,” Goldstein said.

Goldstein continued: “Our show shouldn’t be as exhilarating as it is – that says more about the world it was brought into. I have a lot more stories about beautiful people than people who have nightmares”.

“Our public discourse” [on social media] this is terrible. “It’s normal for people to treat each other badly now,” he said.
“Our show shouldn’t be as uplifting as it is – it says more about the world it was brought into. I have a lot more stories about beautiful people than people who have nightmares,” Goldstein continued.
“I can’t speak for the fans. But I can talk about how he shapes us. Ted is the best in us: he’s trying to bring out the best in us,” Goldstein said.

He retires from the game at the end of the first season and becomes the manager of AFC Richmond in the show’s second season.
