Actor Sam Neill returned to the big screen in the latest episode of Jurassic Park’s hit series, Jurassic World Dominion.

Sam, 74, appeared in the role of famed Dr. Alan Grant in the series’ first film in 1993, and the New Zealander revealed that it even led to an awkward moment with Princess Diana.

At the premiere of the film, Sam’s son Tim, who was only about 10 at the time, apparently started farting when the big T-Rex appeared in the film.

Sam told The New York Times: “I spent the entire movie sweating profusely thinking, ‘Princess Di is exposed to the horrors of a little boy’s fart, but she’ll think it’s me.’

True to form, Diana apparently didn’t mention the dinosaur-induced gas ball, which saved Sam an awkward moment.

The interview was done with co-stars Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, who had already heard the story.

Jeff also joked, “I love that story, Sam. I’ve heard that many times, and it’s amazing how far he’s going to go to blame the kid.”

Jurassic Park star Sam Neill is believed to be worth a staggering £ 14.3 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Born in Northern Ireland, it was previously suggested that Sam would become the next James Bond, suggesting that his huge net worth could have been even higher.

He is best known for his role in Steven Spielberg’s hit film in 1993, before remembering his television talents in the British drama The Tudors, as Cardinal Wolsey.

He then took on the role of creepy and sadistic Chief Inspector Chester Campbell, Tommy Shelby’s nemesis in Peaky Blinders.

Sam, while iconic in his role in Jurassic, still has fans questioning his accent in the film to this day.

The actor blamed director Spielberg for the confusion.

He told Vanity Fair, “He came up to me in the middle of the day and said, ‘Hey, Sam, do you know the accent we were talking about?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I’ve been working on it for four weeks …’ he said, ‘Don’t worry, use your own voice.’

“I said, ‘That’s great, Steven, thank you very much.’ And then four days later, he came up to me and said, ‘Do you know that voice you’re using right now?’ I said, ‘Yes, my voice?’ He said, ‘Somewhere in between.’ “
