Love Island star Gemma Owen has only won three dressage competitions in the past seven years, according to an anonymous source.

The 19-year-old was an original candidate and was joined by nine other contenders in the first round of matchmaking, as voted by the public, before the bombshell Davide intervened and stole it from Liam.

She was at the forefront of the show’s drama during the first few episodes and told the other contestants that she was a dressage rider.

Dressage is a form of riding in which horses have fun and perform stunts when instructed by their rider.

Gemma said she has won awards in her field, but a source told The Sun: “Whenever she explains what she does for a living on the show, she says she travels the world participating in international dressage competitions. True, but sadly not. wins a lot.

Gemma is the daughter of English striker Michael Owen.

They went on to make a fierce comment: “He has participated in 39 competitions and has only won three times. His father certainly had a better success rate.

Gemma’s most recent win was an international competition in 2020 and she finished 46th in her latest world competition.

According to the International Equestrian Federation’s FEI database, Gemma, the daughter of former English football striker Michael Owen, has only won twice before in March 2017.

Gemma is currently paired with Davide, who was sent to the mansion to ruffle some feathers after the cast split into pairs.

Typically, Love Island allows women to replace men in the first episode, allowing them to choose which islander they’d like to partner with.

However, this series took a shocking turn and none of the islanders had a clue what was planned.

The voters at home have matched them all, and host Laura Whitmore has placed them in their pairs, which doesn’t seem to impress the cast.
