Top Gun: Maverick hit the domestic box office over two weekends with a price of more than 1 MILLION

Top Gun: Maverick is still high at the box office, with the film grossing over $86 million nationwide in its second weekend, for a total of $291 million.

The movie has dropped just 32% since its opening weekend, the lowest ever for a movie that has grossed more than $100 million, according to Deadline †.

Deadline noted that Shrek 2 saw a -33% drop, while The Force Awakens dropped -40% over its second weekend.

New Highlights: Top Gun: Maverick continues to soar at the box office, with the film grossing over $86 million in its second weekend and a total of $291 million.

The new movie’s worldwide total is $548.6 million after just two weeks in theaters.

However, revenues are expected to plummet as the latest Jurassic World movie releases, which will fill many IMAX theaters and monopolize other more profitable premium formats.
