If this was a secret to you, then Eric Kripke should indeed be thanked for both projects. With Supernatural ending in 2020, Kripke looks to be putting it together again, but in the gritty superhero universe of The Boys.

The fourth season of The Boys recently came to an end and fans are now waiting for the fifth and final season. The number of references to ‘Supernatural’ led fans (not without reason) to expect that Jared Padalecki, who played Sam Winchester on The CW series, might finally appear in the final chapter of ‘The Boys’.
Moreover, even Jensen and Jared themselves like to tease fans about this topic. And it looks like Padalecki’s participation in “The Boys” is almost official – Jared himself said he would “definitely play in Kripke’s new playground.” However, he clarified that filming is unlikely to begin before January 2025.
There are no details yet on what character Padalecki could play in The Boys, and there’s no confirmation that there’s a chance of scenes with Jensen Ackles. But we can imagine what the reaction from the fandom of both series will be if such a scene happens.
