Great series about teenagers.
On August 29th, a new Japanese series ‘Chastity School’ was released on Netflix, and many fans are already calling it a worthy replacement for ‘Gossip Girl’ and ‘Sex Education’. But is this series worth watching?
The teen thriller centers on a group of Japanese high school students whose romantic secrets are suddenly exposed by an anonymous social media account. As the schoolchildren’s privacy begins to crumble, they do everything they can to uncover the identity of the anonymous bully.

Renai Batoru Rowaiyaru’s cleverly twisted plot reminded fans of classic teen series from the early 2010s, and its expertly conveyed Japanese high school atmosphere drew Netflix subscribers for tens of millions of minutes of viewing.
But professional film critics completely ignored the release of Chastity High. The series has no reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and only 300 people have reviewed it on IMDb.
Most likely, “Chastity School” only became a Netflix hit in its native Japan, and the Western world simply didn’t have time to appreciate the new product.

At the same time, the reviews of the series are very positive.
“I didn’t watch Chastity School in one sitting; it’s a show that benefits from pauses for pacing. However, I was so engrossed in it that I went back and watched it to the end. The character development was the highlight for me.” – the fan noted.
It seems that no one in Russia has heard of the series. On Kinopoisk, the title was translated as “Love: Battle Royale”, which certainly confused fans. Because of this, the show simply did not have enough user ratings to form a rating.
