If you thought Ryan Reynolds only remembered The Greatest Showman as his co-star, think again.
Deadpool and Wolverine was filled to the brim with not only raunchy jokes, jaw-dropping cameos, and telling parallels, but also subtle references that only the most attentive viewers could spot.
A month and a half after the premiere, one of the film’s fans turned to the audience with a question:
‘Did anyone else notice the numbers 24601 on the roof of Logan’s skull? Insane attention to detail!’
User @WolverSteve explained that this is not a random number, but the serial number of prisoner Jean Valjean in the film Les Misérables.

And this isn’t even the first time the creators mention this hero. In the second part, Wade mentioned him on a homemade card, where he carefully wrote “Prisoner #24601”.
The fan theory was quickly confirmed when director Shawn Levy got in touch. Speaking about the Easter egg, he admitted:
“We wondered who would notice her first.”
Well, the makers promised an intense spectacle and kept their word. The filmstrip was so popular with the world audience that the box office receipts exceeded all expectations.
The film surpassed the billion dollar mark, breaking an all-time record and becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film.

The cash register is currently worth $1,288,347,001, so it’s hard to imagine who could challenge Wilson in the coming years.
Perhaps another hero in red…
