The TNT series “Snowpiercer” is one of the most popular science fiction projects of the past decade.

The unique story of the remnants of human civilization surviving on a giant train was based on the film of the same name by Bong Joon-ho. And the series starring Davide Diggs and Mickey Sumner has significantly diversified the world of the original.

With only two episodes left until the season four finale, Snowpiercer fans are already wondering if the show will be renewed for a fifth season.

Last year, TNT unexpectedly announced that Snowpiercer would be canceled after its third season. Fans were shocked by the producers’ decision, as the fourth season starring Diggs, Sean Bean, and Jennifer Connelly had already wrapped filming at that time.

Fortunately, the project was saved by AMC, which bought the rights to show the completed fourth season. But AMC executives agreed to satisfy fans on only one condition: Season 4 would be the finale for Snowpiercer.

Given that last season’s ratings left much to be desired, it’s unlikely that AMC will reconsider its decision to cancel the series — viewers will have to get used to the idea that this sci-fi project will close forever on September 22.

Some Snowpiercer fans are just glad the series is ending. The fact that in case of doubt 67% “Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, the series managed to last a whopping 4 seasons on TV – a real miracle in itself.

In Russia, “Through the Snow” was treated much more kindly – the spin-off of the cult film received good ratings from Kinopoisk users. 7.1 points.
