There’s a movie for everyone.
September’s cinema schedule is surprisingly packed with a variety of offerings for even the most sophisticated viewers: here you’ll find comedies to suit every taste (from teens to adults), adaptations of classics and even reboots of favourite franchises.
Don’t think that there’s nothing left to see in cinemas now: we’ve collected 14 films hitting the big screens in September, and they’re all showing in Russia.

Admit it: have you seen the title “Slave in Paris” and thought that this was yet another sequel to that same domestic “Slave” and sighed wearily? But no: this is a rare case where our cinema inspired foreign colleagues and they already made a remake. ‘Slave in Paris’ is in many ways a frame-by-frame repetition of the Russian ‘Slave’ with Milos Bikovich by directors Alexandre Charlot and Frank Magnier.
The French version of the majors’ re-education will hit theaters on September 12, but so far viewers on IMDb have given it a 5.6 rating – a rather modest score, to be honest. For comparison, the Russian version on IMDb has a 6.6. However, many foreign viewers appreciated the remake, noting that there was even something of “The Truman Show” with Jim Carrey in it.
However, there are sceptics among French viewers who note that the film doesn’t even save the cast, and that there are very few funny moments. Maybe they should watch the original with Bikovich?
