If not now, then never.
‘Bones’ stayed on the air for an impressively long time – twelve seasons – before Fox abandoned the idea of a continuation.
The same cannot be said about the fans and the crew. Not so long ago they were joined by David Boreanaz, whose participation in ‘Special Forces’ was coming to an end.

The seventh and final season of the military action film was released on August 11, so there have been changes in the actor’s schedule.
According to fans, it’s time to try on Agent Booth’s suit again. They’re certain that the ending of the series didn’t give all the answers, so the creators just have to release more episodes.
Boreanaz himself is enthusiastic about the reboot.
“I really cherished this experience and would love to do it again. We’ve invested a lot in these characters, it would be great to have them come back. I mean, it’s so easy to do because it’s so much fun,” he told reporters.
The actor’s words were taken as a hint about Season 13, and Emily Deschanel’s willingness to join her colleague only strengthened public opinion.
It’s now or never as both have no long-term projects in the near future.
Plus, Bones is the perfect choice for an organic and compelling reboot.

First of all, the age of the cast does not affect the plot in any way (unlike the same “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” that starred David Angel).
Second, an open ending allows you to smoothly progress to subsequent episodes, gradually filling in any plot holes.
