The Apple TV+ product is close to House of the Dragon, but still lags behind. The first season of the story of the royal Targaryen dynasty had a budget of $20 million per episodebut Ben Stiller’s drama didn’t reach that level until its second season. Meanwhile, insiders are excitedly reporting that the platform shouldn’t have spent so much money, as the viewing situation leaves much to be desired.

Apple TV+ gets fewer views in a month than Netflix does in a day, so the company plans to cut costs significantly. Against this backdrop, the future of “Separation” looks terrifyingly bleak.
