Until recently, “The Great”, with a budget of about $10 million, was considered the most expensive Russian series, but now a new favorite in the industry has emerged. At least, the creators of the upcoming premiere are actively hinting at this.

The first teaser for the long-awaited series “The Last Hero. Heritage” has finally hit the Internet, and judging by the debut footage, the project was indeed incredibly expensive. And it is also possible that he was “inspired” by other, much more popular representatives of the genre. At least in a few moments.

For example, at the very beginning of the video we see a wizard with a long beard waiting for an eagle, and this is very reminiscent of the iconic scene with Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings. A little later we will see how a group of heroes, led by a wizard in a white robe, walks through mysterious caves and steps on a thin bridge – will the Balrog jump out of the depths of darkness, I wonder?

According to the plot of “Legacy”, Ivan (Victor Khorinyak) has already turned 50, he raises two daughters, life in Belogorye continues as usual, but because of the impending disaster in Belogorye, some heroes will have to return to modern Moscow, and others will have to face evil in a fairy-tale world.

The long-awaited continuation of Russia’s main fairy tale franchise will be released on Start this fall, and judging by the comments of the project director, Anton Maslov, viewers are not ready for the scale of what is happening on screen.

“I’ve never had so much detail, so much magic, so much work. There are over 120 services at Erfgoed. In some episodes, computer graphics are present in 80% of the screen time. In terms of budget and complexity, there is no comparable series in Russia. We also have a great script. This is such a nuclear mixture.”
