And if you google the names, you can find an analogue in Russia – the series “Dragon Syndrome”. But in reality they are just consonant, but the plots are different. Nevertheless, the domestic project is worth watching, even if it is not a fantasy, but a detective thriller.
What is this series about and why is it worth watching?
The action takes place in 2008. Customs officials receive an anonymous phone call and arrest a man who has a super-rare book in his luggage: an unknown copy of Peter the Great’s ‘Naval Charter’. An immediate investigation is launched, during which a number of deaths emerge that are difficult to explain.
At the same time, the viewer is immersed in the events of 1953, when high officials gather all the looted treasures in one place during times of unrest. And the care of the collection is entrusted to a young intelligence officer and a collector released from prison. Incidentally, the plot is based on real events.
The series has 12 episodes and all of them turned out to be really interesting and with a dynamic plot. On Kinopoisk the project was rated quite well: a confident 7.5 points. It also appealed to foreigners: on IMDb it got a rating of 6.6.
