And in the latter, by the way, they are also very successful. And one of the main roles in the series was played by the star of the sensational ‘Knock on My Door’.
What kind of series is this?
The show has a very intriguing title: “Waiting for the Sun.” The series aired from 2013 to 2014 and was based on the drama “Boys Over Flowers.” It aired much earlier – from 2005 to 2008. By the way, the drama itself is based on a manga.
First of all, the main plus: the Turkish remake is far removed from the original, and is certainly not a dry retelling of it. The only thing that has it in common is the beginning of the whole story: a poor girl ends up in an elite school by the will of fate, where her relationship with the director’s son immediately fails, and then the couple starts to feel something for each other. If you like both dramas and Turkish melodramas, this is definitely your option.
And secondly, the series stars the audience favorite, Kerem Bursin, who played Serkan in “Knock on My Door.” So it’s worth watching, at least for that reason, but judging by the reviews, the plot won’t disappoint.
