Still from the movie “Avatar”

Jumped two steps.

In September 2022, Cameron announced at the D23 Expo that Avatar 4 had officially started filming. And then it turned out that by the end of fall, most of the scenes had already been filmed. And this is great, amazing and long-awaited news, if not for one “but”. Have you seen the third part? And we haven’t. Because they prefer to keep quiet about it, and you have to admit: this is a rather strange story in the world of serial films.

But we got busy and found out for you what awaits the viewer in the third “Avatar” (no spoilers, you don’t have to close the tab!). First of all, the sequel is scheduled for the end of December 2025, so we will have to wait a long time. But on the other hand, we waited 13 years for the sequel “Avatar: The Way of Water”, and nothing. These painful years are fully justified. The fourth part was announced for 2029 AD.

So here it is. The third part. Who will appear in it from the previous heroes? Jake Scully, Neytiri, Mo’at, Tonowari and Ronal, as well as Kiri, the adopted daughter of Scully and Neytiri. In parts of the franchise from the third to the fifth, the appearance of Remus Lupin was also announced, well, not the Hogwarts professor himself of course, but David Thewlis, who played him brilliantly.

The main spoiler that distinguishes the third part from the first two: in the previous films, the negative characters were people, in the third part there will be evil Na’vi. In the third part of Avatar, viewers will see a new warlike fire tribe, whose traditions and culture will differ significantly from the already shown clans of Omaticaya and Metkayina. James Cameron also said that most of the scenes of the second and third Avatar were filmed in parallel. So why did we wait so long is an open question!
