As usual, the perpetrators were found.
Russian filmmakers represented by Evgeny Nikishov, producer of the company “Place of Power”, tell scary and sad, and even seemingly unbelievable and impossible things. For example, that the industry was one step away from filming her “Game of Thrones” and her “Money Heist”, but as always, alien (non) forces intervened.
It turns out that cinema in Russia was on the verge of a huge breakthrough. A huge number of film projects were shot in the country, many streaming services were opened and established, which, according to Nikishov, are in no way inferior to Western ones. And quantity would soon turn into quality. After all, even Netflix started buying Russian TV series and films. But it didn’t work out. And why? It’s easy.
“The same events in the country” intervened. The filmmaker said that the company was one step away from filming the Money Heist. And not for the sake of money, vanity and ratings. And for the sake of popularizing tourism in Russia.
“We need to unite people through content, try to break this wall, so that stories from Russia reach people in different parts of the world. We have not forgotten this and still want this. Of course, this has become much more difficult now, given the whole situation and attitude towards Russian content. Still, I really hope that sooner or later we can all do this together,” the producer is confident.

So ambitious projects were not canceled or abandoned, they just needed the right moment. And then both Russia and the world will enjoy a large-scale, multi-million dollar film project (in terms of the number of viewers) that they can be proud of.
