In June of this summer, a creepy horror film with a very strange name “I Saw the Glow of the TV” appeared on foreign streaming platforms. The project immediately attracted the interest of not only natives, but also foreigners. And for good reason. What is so good about the film, which was released together with the production company of actress Emma Stone (unfortunately, it cannot be legally viewed in Russia)? Now we will tell you.
Let’s go over the plot. The action takes place in a dull American town. It’s the mid-1990s. A lonely schoolboy meets a reclusive high school girl (their names are Owen and Maddie, but when you’re terrified, that doesn’t matter). They become friends, and the girl tells Owen about the teen show “Pink Darkness,” which she watches every night.
The boy is denied the chance to touch the art of film by his strict parents. After betraying his mom and dad, he spends the night at Maddie’s and falls in love with both the series and his new friend.
Fast forward, Owen still can’t watch the scary show, and Maddie records the episodes on cassette tapes for the boy. And on the day the last one is released, it disappears without a trace. This is where the complete chaos begins.
In general, we do not force you to be movie pirates, but the movie is really worth watching, at least among horror fans and among those who liked “Donnie Darko”. The movie is not a masterpiece, but it is quite good. Try it and discuss it in the comments.
