The plot is as old as time, but how effectively presented!

Even the most enthusiastic fans of the Turkish hit of the Star TV channel are no longer looking forward to the continuation of “The Magnificent Century”, but after the premiere of “A Thousand and One Nights” there was simply no need for it. It can’t get any better.

As a child, you’ve probably read the fairy tale of the same name more than once, and there have been numerous film adaptations, but the makers of the Egyptian series approached filming on a scale never seen before.

The main character, Shah Shahriyar, disillusioned with women after his wife’s betrayal, decides to take a new concubine every night and execute her in the morning. However, Scheherazade, the vizier’s daughter, decides to put a stop to this – to save herself and other misfortunes in a rather cunning way.

The oriental beauty tells the Shah exciting stories every night and leaves them unfinished to extend her life for another day. In the first episode (and there will be fifteen in total), Shahryar, you and I heard an unfinished story about Gavdar, the youngest son of a merchant, who was desperately searching for the four mysterious treasures of the sage Al-Shamrad.

The audience, who had already enjoyed the new Egyptian costumed hit, was absolutely delighted. In terms of the drama of the story, but also the quality of the production and the beauty of the local costumes, the project is seriously compared to The Magnificent Century.

“More beautiful and tragic than ‘The Magnificent Century’, it looks at once”, “I forgot when I had so much fun with costumed fairy tales for adults”, “It’s like ‘The Magnificent Century’ cost three times as much and a touch of mysticism”, they share delights on the Internet.
