Ewan McGregor recently reprized the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the highly anticipated Disney + series of the same name, which launched on the streaming service last week.
Star Wars fans will have the opportunity to meet Hollywood icon and Obi-Wan Kenobi actor Ewan McGregor at Comic Con Scotland in October.
The announcement follows Ewan McGregor’s return to the Star Wars universe, where he recently reprized the role of Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi in the highly anticipated Disney + series of the same name.
Following the launch of the series, fans will now be able to meet actor Obi-Wan Kenobi in person at Comic Con Scotland, taking place at the Royal Highland Center in Edinburgh from 8-9 October 2022.
His appearance follows rave reviews from fans of the Disney + Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which launched on the streaming service last week (May 27, 2022).
One fan took to social media to say, “Obi-Wan Kenobi might be the best thing I’ve ever seen. I’m not exaggerating.” While others have praised Ewan’s return to the role, having played the character in Episodes I-III between 1999 and 2005.
A second fan also added: “I loved the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds. “
Comic Con Scotland, organized by Monopoly Events, will also present the actor Doctor Sleep and Moulin Rouge along with a number of big names in film and TV for the event.
The incredible lineup includes Clueless’s Alicia Silverstone, Titanic’s Billy Zane, Umbrella Academy’s Tom Hopper, Scrubs ‘John C. McGinley, Reservoir Dogs’ Michael Madsen and The Lost Boy’s Jason Patric.
Several stars from the epic fantasy films The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings will also join them over the weekend, including Graham McTavish, Adam Brown and John Rhys Davies.
That’s not all, as Back to the Future fans can meet the likes of Mr. Strickland actor James Tolkan and original actress Jennifer Claudia Wells.
Fans of the classic TV show Gladiators can also meet Jet, as well as Lost Boys saxophonist Tim Capello and The Vampire Diaries stars Daniel Gillies, Charles Michael Davis and David Anders, as well as several voice actors throughout the weekend.
If you’re looking for more Star Wars icons, Comic Con Scotland social media also teased that another announcement might be on the way, posting on his Twitter account: “There’s a lot of Star Wars to see right now. Moment. Will there be? Will there be more announcements of SW guests for Scotland?
Fans will have to wait and see.
