The consequences of what Blood and Cheese did affected all the main characters.

The situation in the House of the Dragon became tense after the brutal murder of Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen in the first episode of the second season. The positions of both Blacks and Greens were shaken, leading to several shocking events.

Otto convinces King Aegon not to wage war against Rhaenyra, but instead hold a funeral procession according to Targaryen traditions – Jace’s body is to be placed atop his coffin, after which the inconsolable Helaine and Alicent will ride through the streets beside him of the city to show the people the heinous act of the Queen of the Blacks and completely ruin her reputation.

Before the funeral ceremony, Jaehaerys’ head is sewn to his head, which the Blood never managed to get outside of King’s Landing. The mercenary is arrested and interrogated, after which Aegon kills the murderer with his own hands, without ever learning the name of his accomplice. But I learned the trade.

All the Pied Pipers in the city are publicly hanged, which predictably frightens the common folk and forces Otto Hightower, the king’s right-hand man and grandfather, to reprimand his overbearing grandson. He did not remain silent and deprived Otto of the honorary title and transferred it to Kristan Kohl.

It was Queen Alicent’s lover who became the culprit of the series’ most heartbreaking moment, when he ordered Arrick to go to Dragonstone and pose as his twin brother, who served Rhaenyra, in order to kill the latter.

The Black Queen is saved from impending death by Errick, who first kills his twin brother in a fierce battle, and then, realizing what he has done, commits suicide.

To be fair, the second episode of the new season of “House of the Dragon” had plenty of really exciting events even without all of this. The Game of Thrones spin-off is slowly but surely accelerating.
