Mysticism or negligence of animators?
Did the creators of the animated series imagine what a hit their brainchild would become? The project, intended for teenagers, became popular among older viewers, due to which it received five seasons, several special episodes and a feature-length film. And also a significant number of critics.
It would seem that the use of 3D animation and computer technology should have eliminated all the shortcomings, but viewers noticed dozens of film flaws, and some of them made them shudder:
“Lady Bug” did not avoid the same mistakes that the creators of other animated works make: moving objects in the frame, suddenly changing the poses of characters, inattention to the details of the appearance of the characters. For example, Tikki showed spots on her body one time and then lost them the next second. Or the butler Jean, whose full name Chloe couldn’t remember, changed his hair color in the same episode, as if by magic.
Some of the animation errors were downright creepy. After looking closely, fans of the series noticed that at certain times the eyes of minor characters would sparkle, lose their pupils or move in a way that was anatomically impossible. In the same pattern, objects passed through the heroes’ bodies and limbs bent at incredible angles.
Sharp-eyed fans also noticed the laziness of the creators. In episodes where it was necessary to create an audience effect, the animators resorted to cunning manipulations that did not go unnoticed: they cloned members of the extras, dressed them in the same clothes, drew the same hairstyles or even duplicated images.
