It got to the point where the animators forgot to draw the limbs.
The fourth part of the adventures of the three heroes became quite an event for the Russians, because Alyosha Popovich, Dobrynya Nikitich and Ilya Muromets finally crossed paths in one cartoon. “The Shamakhan Queen” did well at the box office, making back its budget six times over and delighting audiences with a plethora of jokes.
However, there were some movie bloopers. Eagle-eyed fans counted no fewer than 33, an analysis of which can be seen in the video:
In addition to classic shortcomings such as objects moving without anyone else’s will, sharply changing colors, disappearing characters and other things, the animators made more serious mistakes. For example, in one scene the Grand Duke was completely armless; they forgot to pull them towards him. What about the hole in the parchment, which crept from the bottom to the top right before our eyes. Or karatekas who fly with their backs against the wall, but land on their faces.
It would be wrong to only talk about blunders in a film full of interesting references to previous parts and works of art. Thus, the picture that Lyubava paints according to the plot is an exact copy of the famous work of Viktor Vasnetsov. Not only is there a sign on the library door announcing the horse, but Julius’ shelves are a creative mess that emphasizes his character. And on the clock in Ilya’s hut, instead of a pendulum, hangs his favorite club.
These and other details helped the film achieve great success and remain in the memory of Russians.
