Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd reach a divorce settlement three months after splitting, as the singer is ordered to pay $2,100 a month in child support for son Hayes.

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have reached a divorce settlement.

The 33-year-old singer filed for divorce from the 37-year-old country artist in October after five years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences”.

According to The Blast, the former couple agreed not to pay each other spousal support and to divide their property and assets as previously agreed in their prenuptial agreement.

They also agreed to share custody of their three-year-old son, Hayes. Maren gets custody on holidays that fall on even days of the month, while Ryan gets custody on odd numbers.

Maren, who recently quit country music, was also ordered to pay her ex $2,100 a month in child support.

In addition, they agreed to make decisions together about his religion, education, extracurricular activities and non-emergency health care.

Morris and Hurd first met during a songwriting session in 2013.

Two years later, the artists started dating and made their red carpet debut in 2016.

The Grammy-winning artist and her ex-husband announced their engagement in 2017 and held a wedding ceremony in Nashville the following year.

The Bones singer publicly announced her pregnancy in October 2019 and they welcomed a son named Hayes in March 2020.

The former couple’s first duet, Chasing After You, was released to fans in February 2021.

Morris and Hurd remained together until last October, when they began their divorce proceedings.

Morris opened up about her divorce in a new interview on The Howard Stern Show, explaining that 2023 wasn’t good for many of her friends’ love lives.

“I think this year — for a lot of people, not just me — a lot of people around me have experienced that as well,” she said.

She then added that she is “close to so many people who have gone through a breakup or divorce.”

Although she stated that her divorce was “in progress” at this point, she said she “wants it to be more or less settled”.

Morris went on to say that while she’s not ready to date again, her divorce has given her a boost of creative energy.

“I don’t have room for it yet. “But I write so much now, it’s kind of my way of going out, just through songs,” she said.
