Now, a source close to the couple has told In Touch magazine that the duo have been growing apart for some time, despite maintaining a united front for their family and spending Christmas together..
“The state of Chris and Elsa’s marriage is a question mark,” the source told the publication.
“The individual holidays are a big caveat, but it’s more than that. “They’re still a close family, but as a couple they’ve grown apart.”

The prank started after Elsa and the couple’s children put up the family Christmas tree at their Byron Bay villa without Chris.
“I haven’t seen you and Chris together for a long time. I hope everything is fine,” one follower commented under the photos the Spanish star posted of the Hemsworth clan decorating the house.
“Where’s Chris?” wrote another concerned fan, as one noticed that the couple took fewer photos together than usual.
