“I would have loved to see Tinsley, but now that I think about it, I wasn’t invited to her wedding, and I brought her on the show and put her up in my house, you know, to do her housework too. And her cooking for not being invited to the wedding was very strange to me,” Sonja, 60, said in her joint interview with Dorinda, 68, and Kristen Taekman while promoting Peacock’s The Ultimate Girls Journey from The Real Housewives: RHONY Legacywhich will debut on December 14th.
“I didn’t know you weren’t invited to the wedding!” Dorinda told Sonja during the interview.
Sonja, who was close to Tinsley before the 48-year-old left the Bravo series in 2020, revealed that Leah McSweeney he was the only one RONIO former student who received an invitation to Tinsley’s wedding Roberto Bovard in Florida.
“He didn’t know her or any of the housewives,” Sonja said of Tinsley. “She was my friend, like my family.”
Dorinda, who collided with Tinsley at the end of both races RONIOShe admitted she was “very surprised” that Leah was invited to the wedding.
However, Sonja offered some context as to why she thinks Tinsley didn’t include her former co-stars in her special day.
“Sometimes when you get off the show and get married and have kids, all you want to do is cross your T’s, dot your I’s, keep it clean and not end up in a fish tank,” Sonja said. “It probably wasn’t a personal decision, it was probably a professional (or brand) decision. She didn’t want me to distract her. You know, who wants to talk about housewives when you get married?
Sonja, Dorinda, Kristen, Ramona Singer, Luann de LessepsAND Kelly Bensimon all reunited for the new season of ROAR which was filmed in St. Barts for a week over the summer. Other RONIO alumni, including Bethany Frankel, Jill Zarinand Tinsley herself didn’t do the show for their own reasons.
In our interview Sonja predicted that Tinsley would never go on a girls’ trip with her. RONIO women again, as she lives her life away from the spotlight. “She’s off the list now,” Sonja said. “She is starting a new marriage. I thought you were having trouble with the program.
The first three episodes of RHUGT: RHONY Legacy will debut Thursday, December 14 on Peacock. The remaining episodes will premiere weekly on Thursdays.
