The customer service manager entered the series with the dream of becoming Mr. Right and was soon married to Sean Malkin
“I know it was my decision, but I felt like I mis-sold the dream that it would work and I would say goodbye to my normal life.”
Mark explained he had been single for ten years and decided to join MAFS UK, but claimed bosses were more focused on “creating drama” than finding love.
He went on to say that bosses have taken tips from Love Island to improve ratings and have been told that “intruder couples” will be introduced to the series to create drama.
Mark questioned the divisive segment and said he hoped bosses scrapped the idea in the next series as it would be “ridiculous” to intervene in the middle of the trial.
Mark went on to claim that he received tips from a number of other couples to get more airtime and that many of the stars were “sought after by producers”.
He also claimed that one couple agreed to remain friends at the start of the trial but continued to pretend they were in a relationship to stay on the show longer. A spokesperson for Channel 4 denied this.
Mark also revealed that bosses were forced to tighten curfews for couples after they partied until the early hours.
He said: “When the curfew was introduced you had to be back by 7pm and you could be in other people’s houses until 10pm.”

“The production team then checked that everyone was in their apartment by knocking on the door to see if they were still there.”
Mark’s time on MAFS UK ended prematurely when he and Sean decided to end their marriage. He believes his husband was “not ready” for a serious relationship.
He further revealed that they were no longer in touch and that he had unfollowed him on social media.
Mark went on to reveal that while many of the couples give the impression that they are all still good friends, he actually finds it difficult to connect with many of them.

The new reunion will air on E4 in 2024, before the start of the latest series of Married at First Sight Australia.
However, one cast member not invited is Luke Worley, after he was axed from the series after knocking on the door of Jordan Gayle’s apartment, where he lived with his wife Erica Roberts, and arguing with his co-star has. started
MailOnline recently revealed Luke was told he was not welcome to take part in the six-month special, which was filmed at a secret location in East Sussex earlier this month.
A source told MailOnline: “Luke’s relationship with Channel 4 has deteriorated since his accusation aired.”
“Not only did he have an argument with Jordan, but he also used threatening language towards him on social media, which the network obviously finds unacceptable.”
“Luke has spoken about his experience filming the show and will no doubt do it again… The trust between him and Channel 4 has been lost.”
“He doesn’t feel good knowing that the majority of the cast is filming the special and his invitation has actually been withdrawn, but they feel his attitude is too much to bear at this point.”
Meanwhile, the reunion will certainly also delve into the new relationship that has developed between Shona Manderson and Matt Pilmoor.
The duo married Brad Skelly and Adrienne Naylor on the show, but both romances ended leading to their engagement.
