SAS Australia: Mahalia Murphy makes sensational exit from show after grueling mountain climbing challenge

Mahalia Murphy sensationally exited SAS Australia on Tuesday during a grueling mountain climb against remaining rivals.

The 29-year-old rugby league star was given the task of carrying 40 liters of water in two jugs up a steep, 500 meter high desert sand dune under the blazing sun.

The Sydney resident looked dazed as she began the arduous climb and was gasping for breath as she told host Ant Middleton she was done.

“I’m full,” she told him as she handed him her bracelet, ending her time on the show.

The head instructor Ant Middleton (43) then told her that she was proud of her excellent performance in the series.

‘Take note. You have far exceeded your physical and mental limits. You have to take it in,” he said.

“No one but you will understand what you are through.” You were great, I enjoyed having you in my class. An absolute pleasure.’

Mahalia later reflected on leaving the show, telling cameras that it took courage to walk away – and she hoped she had made her mum proud.

“There are definitely moments in life when you have to accept it because you have no control over it and you can’t let it happen. It takes courage,” she said.

It comes after Craig McLachlan was forced to leave SAS Australia on Monday after admitting his body was not strong enough to continue the course.

The 58-year-old actor admitted that while he had the mental stamina to push himself to the limit, he struggled physically.

While tackling a grueling challenge – which required teams to crawl through mud over rough terrain – an exhausted Craig suddenly fell to his knees.

“I need to see a doctor.” “I feel like a hot knife through butter,” he said.

Ant Middleton then told Craig to get up before continuing to shout at him until he decided to stop.

Mahalia’s departure leaves only AFL commentator Abbey Holmes, Thai Cave rescue hero Craig Challen, rugby star Matthew Mitcham and The Bachelor’s Tim Robards in the game.
