There was no romance whatsoever.

Today it is difficult to imagine that the film “Pretty Woman” could be a drama with a sad ending, and not the most romantic film in cinema history. The screenwriter came up with a completely different concept.

In the original version, Jonathan Lawton created a difficult story about the difficult fate of a prostitute with addiction and her relationship with a millionaire. The purpose of the film was to show all the dirt of the main character’s profession, and her dream of a beautiful life would be destroyed. After meeting the financier, Vivian fell in love with him, but he did not fall in love with her. In the finale, the guy throws her money and leaves, and the girl goes to spend it at Disneyland. The first title of the film is “3000”. That’s exactly what Edward promised to pay.

Everything changed when Disney became interested in the script. A team of writers rewrote the story and turned it into a romantic comedy with a happy ending, Femmie writes.
