Jimmy announced that he had to cancel the headline show at the Stranded In the Whitsundays concert on Daydream Island, although his show with Mackay was delayed.

“I am sorry to inform you that I have returned two positive RATs for Covid-19. So far, I don’t feel too bad, but I have to be in solitary confinement for seven days,” he began.

“This means we have to postpone the show at Mackay next Saturday. The new date is August 27. So save your tickets and thank everyone who made this change so soon.

“Unfortunately, that also means I won’t be able to travel to Daydream Island on Thursday. The Black Sorrows and Diesel clash with Darryl Braithwaite and Richard Clapton for me, so the whole event continues this week in the beautiful Whitsundays.

“Believe me, if I wasn’t contagious and could get out of bed, I would sing to you there,” she added.

Jimmy also offered his “sincere apologies to anyone affected”, acknowledging that many fans would be disappointed by the cancellation.
