Sting owns many homes around the world, but Villa Il Palagio in Tuscany is the crown jewel of his collection. The artist bought this property in 1999 from a real duke. The building itself was built in the 16th century.
The villa is 45 minutes from Florence. On its territory there are 6 cottages that Sting and his wife rent. There is also a dairy, an apiary and wine cellars. Anyone can buy a drink from them.
Sting renovated the villa, but kept the Italian touch inherent in this place. However, nothing prevented the artist from creating an extension in the form of a chapel and a Buddha statue. The British singer has been practicing yoga and meditation for a long time.
According to Sting on the villa’s website, it’s especially beautiful there in the early, foggy mornings. The illusion is created that the neighboring hills are not standing still, but are about to emerge from the water. The Briton admits that he often spends his evenings watching the clouds move across the sky.
