Kate Winslet embodied the image of a real woman.
In the legendary movie Titanic, the protagonist Rose DeWitt Bukater, played by Kate Winslet, managed to escape and live a long and happy life. Few people know that director James Cameron copied this character from a real woman.
As the Wi-Fi.ru portal told, Beatrice Wood became the prototype of the Rose. While working on the film, Cameron read her autobiography.
Beatrice also came from a wealthy American family and was fond of the arts – acting and pottery. Her work was avant-garde and ahead of its time, and this progressiveness influenced the image of the fictional rose.
Wood said she married not the one she really loved, but the unloved. She died in 1998 at the age of 105.
