Tom Schwartz reveals when he really found out about Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’ relationship

Schwartz said that, at the time, his best friend said he and Raquel had a “one-night stand.” However, Schwartz did not clarify whether Tom’s then-girlfriend, Aryan MadixI knew about the connection.

“So it became, from my perspective, an emotional issue … But I didn’t think it was linear,” said Schwartz, 40. Schwartz went on to explain that she was unaware that the relationship was “steadily progressing” during the fall. At least not until January 2023, when Tom Sandoval told Tom Schwartz he was “in love” with Raquel. “I was shocked, but not surprised because, I think, there are a lot of people who knew it was an open secret,” Schwartz said.

When asked by Andy what he meant by the relationship being an “open secret,” Tom Schwartz said Tom Sandoval got “saucy” and “saucy” about the relationship between January and March when Ariana found out.

So why didn’t Tom Schwartz tell Ariana about the affair? Well, Schwartz said Sandoval was “putting her mind at ease about him” by saying he was breaking up with Ariana. “I have a narrative that he broke up with Ariana or she tried too many times, that she’s not happy, that they’re not healthy, that they’re not close, blah blah,” Schwartz said. “All of that is irrelevant now, considering the way she’s handled it.”

Schwartz said Sandoval had intended to come clean about his relationship with Raquel after their meeting in season 10, but things changed when Ariana found a sexually explicit video of Tom and Raquel on Sandoval’s phone. Ariana broke up with Tom just hours after finding the video and finding out about the affair.
