Homes Under The Hammer star Martel Maxwell has revealed she was involved in a skiing accident while on holiday in the Austrian Alps.
The 46-year-old TV presenter recalls the terrifying experience after Gwyneth Paltrow’s hearing about a skiing accident she was involved in in 2016.
Martel recounted how a man collided with her higher up the slope after losing control of the slope.
Martel wrote in the Scottish newspaper The Courier: “Fortunately no one was injured. The man who collided with me came from further down the slope (with the person lower down with the right-of-way), lost control of the wheel and crashed into me.
“The scariest part was a sharp fall with him, but luckily (apart from a sore leg) everything was fine.

“The skiing conditions that afternoon were quite difficult as the sun melted the snow and I think he just lost control after getting his skis stuck in the mud.”
The channel added that the man apologized and checked that she was ok, which she appreciated.
Martel has presented Homes Under The Hammer since 2017, having previously also worked as a reporter for ITV’s Lorraine and BBC’s The One Show.
It comes after Gwyneth won her four-year legal battle against retired optometrist Terry Sanderson over a skiing accident in 2016.
Park City jurors dramatically pleaded not guilty in the 2016 crash, which Sanderson said left four broken ribs and permanent brain damage.
In the moments after the jury reached its verdict and sided with her, Paltrow was seen walking up to Sanderson and telling him, “I wish you the best.”
Moments later, she released a statement via her Instagram stories, saying, “I felt that agreeing to a false claim compromised my integrity.
“I am satisfied with the outcome and appreciate the hard work of Judge Holmberg and the jury, and I appreciate their consideration in handling this case.”

Outside court, her lawyer Stephen Owens said: “We are pleased with the outcome and appreciate the courteous handling of the case by the judge and jury.
“Gwyneth has stood up for what she believes in in the past, this situation was no different and she will continue to stand up for what is right.”
On Thursday, the jury found 76-year-old Sanderson “100 percent” guilty in the crash at the posh Utah ski resort seven years ago after taking just two hours and 20 minutes to reach a verdict.
Paltrow, the 50-year-old founder of luxury wellness brand Goop, is worth $200 million and won an Oscar for her role in Shakespeare in Love.
Her opponent, Sanderson, 76, is a twice-divorced retired optometrist from Utah whose net worth is unknown.
