Pete Davidson recalls feeling like a ‘loser’ and ‘insecure’ when his love life was mocked on ‘SNL’

pete davidson appeared on the March 30 episode of True with Jon Berthnal podcast and talked about what it was like for him to hang out in the public eye. “I’m 20 and have dated people,” Pete said, per us weekly. “And for some reason, it’s really crazy and interesting to people. I don’t find it interesting. Pete noted that he’s dated “10 people” in “12 years,” which he doesn’t think is that crazy. “But for some people that’s very interesting,” he added. “It became everything people talked about.”

The comedian, who appeared in Saturday night live from 2014 to 2022 he admitted that it really is a “feeling shitty” that people focus more on their love life than their career. “I became better known before there was work, but always working,” she explains. Pete was the butt of jokes sl due to his relationship history, and he admitted that it took a toll on him at times.

“When it’s your show, and I’m sitting in the back watching the cold open, and it’s topical political humor or whatever it is in the culture, and they’re making fun of you…and then you have to go out and sketch below and it hits home…” he said. “The show made fun of you, so why are they going to make fun of you? They just chased you! Pete also admitted to feeling like a “loser” for being teased so often by his peers, though he did say he was “nice” to have it happen from time to time.

While Pete made it clear that he “loves” the people he’s worked with sl, said the atmosphere could be “fucking confusing” because he was being teased in the workplace. “It was a very difficult thing to do,” Pete shared. “You feel insecure. You feel like a small person.”

Pete has dated several high profile women in the public eye since his time sl. was with shit david for two years, from 2016 to 2018, before meeting again with Ariana Grande in the spring of 2018. After just a few days of getting to know each other, Pete proposed to Ariana and they got engaged in the fall of that year. After the split, Pete started dating. Kate Beckinsale in early 2019, and their romance was hot, heavy, and highly publicized until their split in April.

In the summer of 2019, Pete was in a relationship with Daisy Qualley, with which it was released until October. It was later linked to Kaia Gerber for two months in late 2019 and early 2020. After several months without a public relationship, Pete started dating phoebe dynevor in early 2021 and they were together for several months before breaking up in August of the same year due to the long distance relationship. In October 2021, Pete met Kim Kardashian when he hosted Saturday night live. They remained together until the summer of 2022. After their split, he was briefly linked to Emily Ratajkowskiand more recently, he spent time with Wonders of Chase Sui.
