Filming of John Ibrahim’s highly anticipated television series The Last King of the Cross continues at full speed.

On Monday, Lincoln Younes, who will play his nightclub identity, was photographed filming the new series in Sydney.

Home and Away’s old friend looked serious while filming scenes with lead actor Callan Mulvey.

Lincoln wore one of John’s signature suits: a black tee and dark jeans.

The 10-episode series tells the story of brothers John and Sam Ibrahim, the leading names in the Kings Cross nightclub district.

The series can also explore key events in John’s life, including surviving a near-fatal stabbing and other attempts on his life.

Sources close to the production say John, who is “very picky” about the actor who plays him, was impressed by Lincoln’s acting talent, as well as his dark skin tone and light eyes.

The Lebanese businessman immigrated to Australia from Tripoli with his family as a child before starting his first nightclub at the age of 19.

He has been dating model Sarah Budge since 2015, whom he met after purchasing the Potts Point building, where he runs the restaurant.

John has two more children from previous relationships, among them an adult son, Daniel, and a seven-year-old boy, whom he shares with his longtime friend.
