TikTok megastar Chris Olsen was desperate to find an Aussie boyfriend on a recent trip to Sydney, but a very unfortunate and embarrassing mishap at the gym meant his chances were slimmed down.
The American content creator, who has a whopping nine million followers on TikTok, was Down Under visiting his girlfriend and Australian Idol judge Meghan Trainor.
The 25-year-old thought it was a good time to find a “hot Aussie boyfriend” so he started hitting the gym in the hope of meeting other singles.
During a class, Chris noticed a handsome man staring at him.
He excitedly thought he had met the love of his life, but it turned out his nose was bleeding profusely and the man was just worried.

In a video that has been viewed two million times, Chris explains the embarrassment to his followers.
“So today I thought I got an Australian boyfriend, but it turns out I just got a nosebleed in public,” he said.
“There were several hot guys [in my workout class] and there’s one right next to me and while I’m practicing I think “I’m going to muster up the courage and say something as soon as it’s over”.
“So class’s over and I go to the locker room and since I’ve been in Australia my nose is really runny so right now my face is wet and I’m sniffling but I’m like, ‘Anyway, me’ I’m on a mission.”
“When I leave the dressing room, he is standing in reception, where there is also a box of tissues, and he is staring at me.
“As I walked over him, his eyes stared at me, which in retrospect he found slightly alarming.
“But then I was like, ‘He wants it,’ and as I got closer, he waved me around. Then he said “Here I have you” and I thought “Omg, shall we kiss?!”
“How… here I have you? What does that mean? But as I get closer, he grabs a tissue and says “Tilt your head back”.
“That’s when I realized it wasn’t a normal cold, it was a nosebleed.”

To make matters worse, Chris then discovered that the potential love of his life already had a boyfriend.
“While we’re doing that, another guy comes up to us and says, ‘Are you okay?'” he explained.
And the original guy says, “Yeah, just a nosebleed,” and then he says, “Babe, are you ready? and then they go together.”
After the ordeal, Chris said he went back to his hotel room, locked himself in his room and forgot he was getting an Australian boyfriend.
