Kylie Minogue joins the cast of popular BBC sitcom Ghosts for a special sketch for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day.
The pop sensation, 54, said filming was a “beautiful and surreal day” and praised the cast for making them feel so welcome.
Ghosts, which first aired in 2019, follows a penniless young couple who inherit a dilapidated mansion only to find it teeming with destitute ghosts.
When Kylie and her live agent (played by Tanya Moodie) arrive at the Button House in the sketch to see if it’s a suitable concert venue, the ghosts get the fright of their lives.
Kylie said of her time on the show: “I’m a huge Ghosts fan so it was really exciting to be there.

“The whole cast was already dressed up when I met them, so it was fun! Because the show is filmed on location, much of what you see on screen is actually there, so it’s like walking into the ghost house.
“I was in Julian’s chess chair, ha! The whole team was amazing and made me feel very welcome. It was a beautiful and surreal day. I was so touched to be a part of Comic Relief and the incredible work they do.”
Actor Mat Baynton, who plays poet Thomas Thorne in the series, said: “Kylie was so sweet and so playful for the sketch, it was an absolute dream.
In fact, I’m starting to wonder if I literally dreamed it all. If we didn’t have the footage, it would definitely be more believable.”
For the first time ever, AJ Odudu and Joel Dommett, along with Zoe Ball, Paddy McGuinness and David Tennant, will host Red Nose Day Night on television.
They return live on BBC One on Friday 17 March and will be joined by a host of stars and supporters to give viewers an unforgettable night of comedy, live music, exclusive prizes and lots of surprises.
This Red Nose Day will also see some of the country’s most popular famous faces test their willpower and determination to raise money for Comic Relief.
Over the past year, Comic Relief’s famous circle icon has undergone its most dramatic change since its debut in 1988.
