The film crew approached the task creatively.

Dragons in the “Game of Thrones” impressed even seasoned fantasy fans. It’s all about the unusual approach of the film crew.

The specialists decided not to copy already made dragons from other paintings, but to make something of their own. To do this, they pay attention to the surrounding creatures. Common geese fell within the scope of the writers.

In the series, when mythical creatures lie on the ground, they resemble these birds. The flight of dragons is copied from bats and the reaction to Daenerys’ petting is copied from domestic cats, writes Lifehacker.

But the most unusual technique was invented when the cry of the ice dragon was recorded. Meeting with drunk fans of the saga turned into a find of the original sound. The fans were asked to scream, and then they processed the received, added special effects and received the monster’s heartbreaking scream.
